Winner of the monday open stableford was Gary Orr with 41 points, doing all the damage on his front nine with a credible 23 points. In second was David Tremlett who has been on form of late and in third position was Paul McCullough. The gross pize was claimed by William Hanna who had a level par round of 72.
A Ladies & Gents Open Stableford was played on Sunday past sponsored by RJ Gracey Fish Merchants. With a cold wet start to the day competitors were not frightened off and indeed it was the early starters that topped the gent’s leader board. Dominic Fitzpatrick carded 40 points to claim first prize, followed by Jonathon Crutchley in second with 37. Robert Stewart finished third with 36 point resulting in William Glenny clinching the gross. The Ladies prize was won by Chloe Fitzpatrick who is getting used to the winners enclosure having recently won the Junior category in the School Championship held in Portstewart.
On bank holiday Monday a large field played in the Mulberry Stoves Open and Sean Grant who has started the season in fine form took home the winners prize with 42 points. David Tremlett finished strongly to card 39 points placing second and beating third place finisher Michael Rooney on the count back. There were a large number of visitors on the day and it was Ardglass 3 handicapper, Paul Millar who snapped up the gross with 77 strokes.
