Please see attached for results for week 6 of the Winter League.

With just 1 more week to go before the half way stage reveals who is setting the pacwe for everyone, team Meelbeg are out in the lead with 12 points from 15. However for week 7 they are the team sitting out and with second placed Binnian taking on bottom team Commedagh it is likely that they will have top place going into the second half. Both Meelbeg and Bearnagh had full turnouts in their head to head but the Meelbeg players scored well with 2×22 and 1×23 to win by 5 points. There were also wins for Binnian v Donard and for Aughrim against the poor performing Commedagh.

It was status quo in the individual race with John Henning maintaining a 6 point lead over Hugh Greene. Week 6 saw 3 players scoring 23 points on the 9 holes with one of them, Keith Little (Last year’s winter league winner!) climbing up to 4th place. ASince only 8 weeks of the 14 count towards the individual total, there will  be an opportunity to close the gap as lower scores could be negated.
