Synopsis of Council Meetings 12th June 2023
The Vice Captain Mr. Robin McCullough welcomed everyone present, wishing the Captain Paschal Morgan a speedy recovery.
Matters Arising from previous Minutes
Catering – Catering facility is now open.
Condolences – Letter of Sympathy to Andrew Annett on the death of his brother and Harold T. Nicholson on the death of his father.
Sub Committee Reports –
Fundraising – Tickets for Big Draw have been distributed to members. Members are encouraged to promote the sale of tickets. Congratulations to Bobby Watts on winning the Lotto Jackpot.
Tee sign Sponsorship – to be erected asap. Thanks to the Ladies branch for a tee sponsorship.
Fence at Putting Green – Fundraising Committee is seeking potential sponsors – Contact Fundraising Convenor.
Greens
Irrigation System has been fixed; Air Compressor working; Course in great condition, credit to Aidan and his staff. Temporary staff (25 hours pw) for July and August. Two new bins to be purchased with the intention of making similar additions during the winter.
Arial picture of course to be arranged to identify drain areas which are presently visible.
House
Disabled parking place at clubhouse to be made available for clubhouse use only and not for parking whilst playing golf.
Match & Handicaps –
Captain’s Day postponed until 29th July. Oher domestic competitions to be rearranged accordingly. Scorecards required reprinting due to printing errors. (no charge)
Juniors – Temporary membership to be addressed to try to increase membership. Junior Convenor requires help with the Junior section. Anyone willing to give a few hours should contact Lee Annett.
