8th June 2024 – President’s Day competition and prize giving.

Last weekend saw the President (Mr Victor Quinn) hosting his special competition. Good weather saw a large number of entries although scoring around the course was difficult.
Trevor Annett coped best with the challenges and returned great score of 43 points. Dominic Fitzpatrick continued his recent good form for second place with 40 and the ‘ever young’ Brendan Scullion picked up third place with 39. The low men battle for the gross prize was won by Paul McCullagh with an excellent 73 with Andrew Charleton (Front9) and Alan Shields (back9) completing the mens competition prizes.

The ladies competed for thei President’s prize on Tuesday and it was Bernadette Magee who sneaked past the President’s ‘better half’ Catherine Quinn on countback to win the first prize. Linda Moorhead, who has been in great form recently vaptured 3rd prize with 37 points.

A great weekend of golf on a magnificently prepared course which was a credit to all invloved.
