2024-10-11 2024/25 Winter Competitions and Winter League

This year’s Winter League competitions are due to commence in November after all the sponsored competitions have ended.

1. The format this year will be for teams of 4 to enter.
   • The team may be your own regular fourball!
   • If you wish to play in the winter league and are not a member of a regular fourball, a draw will be carried out to allocate individuals to a team.
   • If an individual does not wish to play as part of a team, they can participate in the individual league.
   • 3 of their scores counting towards the team total each week.
2. Team individuals do not have to play together as long as there is an attester to the score.
3. All week’s points will count towards the overall totals and placings.
4. Scores must be entered into the Clubv1 System.
5. The winter league competitions will run from Thursday to Wednesday each week.
   • Competition will run over open holes for the week on approval of Greens Committee.
6. An individual Winter League competition will run alongside the team competition.
   • Best 10 scores to count towards individual total.
7. Hopefully the Winter league will run from November to mid February 15 weeks.
8. Weekly Winter competition winners deductions will also apply to Winter League scores.
9. Entrants must play a minimum of 6 weeks to qualify for prizes.
10. Entry fee £15 – Entries may be made and paid for in the Pro Shop until 10^th
11. Weekly points and positions will be posted online.

It is hoped to award prizes for the top 3 teams and for the top 5 individuals. (Prizes to be confirmed depending on entry numbers – estimates below based on 16 teams entering.)

Winter Competitions.

Winter Stableford competitions will commence in November.

1. They will be played over all open holes in agreement with the Greens Committee.
2. Two competitions will be held each week, Thursday to Saturday and Sunday to Wednesday.
3. Entry fee £4
4. Prize structure –
   • Less than 20 entrants – winner only.
   • 20-25 entrants – 1^st & 2^nd,
   • 26-29 entrants – 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd,
   • 30+ – 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd & gross.
   • Prizes (to be confirmed) £40,30,20,20.
5. As these competitions will be non-qualifying with no Handicap Index adjustments, prize winners will have deductions manually applied for subsequent competitions throughout the winter.
   • Winner -2 pts, 2^nd -1 pt, 3^rd -1 pt, Gross -1 pt.
   • Deductions will be accumulative.
     • These deductions will also apply to the Winter League competitions.
