2025/26 Winter League and

Winter Competition proposals.

Winter League.

This year’s Winter League competitions are due to commence in November after all the sponsored competitions have ended.

1. The format this year will be an individual competition league.
   1.              As usual there must be an attestor to the weekly score.
2. Scores must be entered into the Clubv1 System.
3. The winter league competitions will run from Thursday to Wednesday each week.
4. Competition will be played over the front 9 holes
5. Each individual’s weekly score will be the straightforward number of stableford points achieved.
6. Hopefully the Winter league will run from November 2025 to February 2026 = 16 weeks.
   1.               The best 10 scores will count for each entrant’s final total.
7. Winter League weekly top three will have deductions applied to their subsequent Winter League scores. (Winner = minus 3, Second = minus 2, Third = minus 1)
   1.               The deductions will be accumulative but will be expunged after 4 weeks.
8. Entry fee £15 – Entries may be made and paid for in the Pro Shop until 2^nd
9. Weekly points and positions will be posted online.

It is hoped to award prizes for the top 12 individuals. (Prizes to be confirmed depending on entry numbers – estimates below based on 60 individuals entering.)

Winter Competitions.

Winter Stableford competitions will commence in November.

1. They will be played over all open holes in agreement with the Greens Committee.
2. Two competitions will be held each week, Thursday to Saturday and Sunday to Wednesday.
3. Entry fee £4
4. Competitions will be created on Clubv1 and scores MUST be entered into the system to allow for timely and accurate results publication.
   1.                     Repeated non-entry of scores may result in competition suspension!
5. Prize structure –
   1.                     Less than 20 entrants – winner only.
   2.                     20-25 entrants – 1^st & 2^nd,
   3.                     26-29 entrants – 1^st, 2^nd & 3^rd,
   4.                     30+ – 1^st, 2^nd, 3^rd & gross.
6. As these competitions will be non-qualifying with no Handicap Index adjustments, prize winners will have deductions manually applied for subsequent competitions throughout the winter.
   1.                     Winner -3 pts, 2^nd -2 pts, 3^rd -1 pt, Gross -1 pt.
   2.                     Deductions will be accumulative but will be expunged after 4 weeks.
