KGC Centenary Gala Ball

As a final key event celebrating our centenary year, the club is holding a Black-Tie Gala Ball”

The event will fittingly take place in the Kilmorey Arms Hotel, where our club was established following it’s inaugural meeting on May 3rd 1924.

Tickets will be available from the club office at a cost of £50 each.
This will include a champagne reception on arrival, a 5 course sit-down meal, with music and dancing on the night.

We look forward to an enjoyable and memorable night together, as we celebrate ‘in style’ our club’s centenary and look forward to the beginning of the next 100 years.

Robert Massey – Hole-in-One

2024-08-31 – HOLE-IN-ONE! Congratulations to Robert Massey who aced the 11th this morning.
Playing with Jonny Crutchley, Mark Burden and Joe McKnight, Jonny hit his tee shot to 9 inches! The usual statement was made, ‘Just get inside that!!’ Robert duly obliged, sparking celebrations on the 12th tee, the 6th green, the 7th tee and the 10th green.
(At least that will be something to cheer the long-suffering Spurs supporter when Newcastle beat them tomorrow! 🤣)

Joe McKnight – Hole-in-One

2024-09-21 – HOLE-IN-ONE! Joe McKnight had a hole-in-one at the 11th this morning.
Three weeks ago, Joe’s playing partner, Robert Massey aced the 11th, however when Robert’s tee shot didn’t fare as well this morning, Seamus Downey stated that there would be no hole in one today.
Joe hit an 8-iron which bounced once and rolled into the hole prompting celebrations all round.
Seamus stated that it was his expert tutelage that made the difference. The other member of the fourball was Callum Magill, a new member at the club.

OUR HISTORY

Way back in 1922 some townspeople in Kilkeel looked enviously at Warrenpoint and
Greenore and their 18-hole golf courses dating back to their foundation in the 1890’s.

Also some of the locals made the journey to both Clubs and got the golf bug!
